We are proud to live in such a caring community and so blessed to be able to help support Ashlyn and her family during this time.  Together with Dutch Bros. Sutherlin, we were able to raise $2,400 for this sweet girl.  Keep fighting hard Ashlyn!  #ajstrong

2016 SERVPRO SCHOLARSHIP

2/1/2016 (Permalink)

$11,000 was raised to help with scholarships at Umpqua Community College during the 7th annual customer appreciation dinner and auction held by SERVPRO last weekend.

Trever Kinney says the companies offices in Douglas County, south Eugene and Florence were part of the event. Kinney says a silent auction, 50/50 contests and raffle drawings gave those attending an opportunity to purchase a wide range of items.

The Sutherlin based company started the SERVPRO of Douglas County Scholarship Fund two years ago. Money will go to help students in the Fire Science Program at Umpqua Community College. This year’s donation is expected to provide three, full year scholarships.

International Firefighters Day

5/11/2015 (Permalink)

“The role of a firefighter in today’s society – be it urban, rural, natural environment, volunteer, career, industrial, defense force, aviation, motor sport, or other is one of dedication, commitment and sacrifice – no matter what country we reside and work in. In the fire service we fight together against one common enemy – fire – no matter what country we come from, what uniform we wear or what language we speak.”
– Lt JJ Edmondson, 1999

International Firefighters Day is observed each year on May 4th. This day is not taken lightly here are SERVPRO.  Each year firefighters face times of tragedy and triumph, arguments and lessons, reflection and celebrations. Their role can often be long, dangerous, difficult and with little reward.

To recognize and honor those firefighters near us, we wanted to give back with what seems like a small thank you, in comparison to what they do for us. Baskets were filled with barbequing supplies and presented to our local Fire Departments.

Thank you for your daily service and risking your life to save ours.

Community Water with a Purpose Joey Atterbury and his son Caden Atterbury.

On Friday, April 3, our community lost one of our members at just 24 years young. Joey Atterbury was headed east on Highway 34 shortly before 3 p.m. when his vehicle hit head-on with another vehicle. Both drivers were pronounced deceased at the scene. Caden, Atterbury’s 15-month-old son, was riding in the backseat of Atterbury’s car. Caden was transported to Good Samaritan Hospital in Corvallis.

This Friday, April 10, Dutch Bros. Sutherlin will be launching their "Water with a Purpose" campaign to support the Atterbury family in their time of need. All proceeds from the Dutch2O (bottled water) will be donated to help ease the burden of this tragedy. Dutch Bros. will also be accepting donations for those who would like to go above and beyond.
